All New Dell
Posted by antriksh911 on November 1, 2009
With all-in-ones soon replacing your dear old desktop, computer major Dell has introduced another contender in the market, and this one surely does look good. An attractive all-in-one PC, Dell Studio One 19 comes with an optional well-designed touch screen interface, along with 18.5 inch, 16:9 wide screen display. Made from aluminium, glass and fabric, Studio One 19 is not just about looks, the new all-in-one, can be fitted with an abundance of options, including Intel Pentium Dual Core to Core 2 Quad processors. You can also avail choice of Nvidia GeForce 9200 or GeForce 9400 integrated graphics. The all-in-one comes with up to 4GB dual channel memory and up to a whopping 750GB hard disk drive, other options also include integrated wireless and web camera, optional multi-touch capability and optional facial recognition security to round up the feature list. While the PC’s resolution is on the downside, which at HD ready resolution 720p does not justify the entry price point of nearly Rs 50,000. Add to that a little jerky Web video playback due to the entry-level processor, and may just sound a little dampener. But all in all, it does qualify as good entry level all-in-one PC, with just a little more desired.

ICANN breaks ties with U.S. government
Posted by antriksh911 on October 4, 2009
The Internet’s keeper of domain names and IP addresses has gone global. On Wednesday, the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) and the US Department of Commerce said the agency will no longer have ties to the US government and will remain a private, not-for-profit organization.
Internet users worldwide can now anticipate that Icann’s decisions on domain names and addresses will be more independent and more accountable, taking into account everyone’s interests… If effectively and transparently implemented, this reform can find broad acceptance among civil society, businesses and governments alike.
